WHY THIS WORKSHOP
Founded on principle. Forged by experience.
Leadership extends beyond tracking progress and managing teams. When an individual understands how to set a vision, develop a culture, delegate effectively, and carry out a decision, they begin to drive meaningful change. The Elements of Leadership have been developed and defined by Young Automotive Group COO, Oliver Young, and have proven successful in real-life situations. Those who properly prepare for this workshop and pay attention will develop the skills they need to develop employees and own the boardroom.
01
FIRE
The force that propels not only a leader, but their team. Through fire, we learn how to maximize our potential, set our vision, embrace sacrifice, and build a culture of success.
02
WATER
In the words of Bruce Lee, “be formless, shapeless, like water.” Water teaches us to challenge ourselves, overcome stagnation, and find the positive in any situation.
03
WIND
Great leaders develop leaders for tomorrow. Wind motivates and lifts others — teaching us to serve, cultivate serendipity, and focus on the basics.
04
EARTH
Humility is at the heart of greatness. Through Earth, we learn how to delegate, overcome chaos, and plan for the future.
05
HEART
Quality leaders are powered by incredible hearts. Heart teaches us that there’s a case for kindness, that what we say matters, and that there’s power in politeness.
THE COURSE
ELEMENTS OF LEADERSHIP
Elements of Leadership is a one-day, in-person workshop that prepares professionals for their next role. Focused on teaching individuals to blend fire, water, wind, earth, and heart in their actions, the training covers case studies, hosts discussions, and conducts live practice sessions — engaging attendees beyond a slide deck.
Those who attend an Elements of Leadership workshop will walk away with a workbook, the book “The Mountain Doesn’t Care,” and insights into the executive mindset. Whether they’re starting a role, preparing for a role, or looking to improve, an individual who attends this workshop will become more prepared to tackle the challenges ahead.
Includes: Workbook, working lunch, and a copy of Oliver Young’s book.

THE BOOK
The Mountain Doesn't Care - The Elements of Leadership
BY OLIVER YOUNG
True leadership is more than bravado and boldness. It’s developed through fundamental qualities that can be strengthened and built upon, known as the Elements of Leadership.
In The Mountain Doesn’t Care, Oliver Young draws on the philosophies that’ve led him to success as a business owner, a C-Suite executive, and a board member. Founded on the elements “fire,” “water,” “wind,” “earth,” and “heart,” the teachings center on fueling motivation, developing a strong culture, taking on challenges, overcoming stagnation, managing chaos, and exercising kindness.
This is a book made for managers in the making, leaders taking their next step, and individuals trying to discover all that they are. The mountain doesn’t care if you’re ready. It just exists. The only question is whether you’ll climb.
